  • Sold his business for over 7 figures
  • Took three years off to just learn and grow
  • Took philosophy classes at University of Arizona
  • Did pro bono consulting to help local black owned businesses to strengthen them
  • Went to law school and competed in closing argument competitions developed a desire to be a trial lawyer
  • Out of law school, decided to work in his own law firm instead of working for big law firm
  • Wanted to do the hard work of convincing juries to award non-economic damages
  • Required excellent ability to empathize and connect with the jury and good public speaking skills as well as hard work to design good closing argument
  • Awarded 6 figure verdict
  • To be a rainmaker takes best relationships and it’s hard for non-whites
  • Wisdom trumps smarts

Ed taught himself business well enough to build a millionaire business and then studied philosophy before going to law school and building a successful practice
